Combahee River: Sugar Hill landing to Intersection with Cuckolds Creek Loop trip. About 12 miles.
Rating: L3 (due to distance, sheltered)
Logistics: Low tide at the intersection of the Combahee River and cuckolds Creek is about 1:30. Meet at Steel Bridge landing ( put 993 Charleston Hwy, Yemassee in your phone mapping app).by 10:45 and leave for “Sugar Hill Boat Landing” by 11:00.
Trip leader:
Note: There is no place to get out at the turning point of this trip. The trip leader may shorten the distance upon arriving at a suitable place to get out on the trip down. Eat a snack and then return to Sugar Hill landing with the incoming tide. That means the maximum length of the trip is 12 miles, but it could easily be 10.
