Edisto River 7/24 Thank You

Thanks to all who paddled yesterday on the Edisto River. After a dramatic beginning to the trip…rescue and all we settled in to enjoy all the peace and tranquility the river had to offer. About 1/2 way through our paddle we ran across a sandbar with a rope swing beckoning to us. Some took a swing, some took a swim and some took a swig and a bite to eat while enjoying the entertainment. On to Givhans and a packed beach area. (We had been warned by police at the landing that 500 floats were expected on the river and this was where they were starting). We ate our lunches and snacks with entertainment from the floaters gathering and launching. The rest of the trip we were entertained by the parade of floats, clowns and waving beauties in bathing suits. I truely enjoyed paddling with all who came! To all who didn’t make it…Sorry you missed it. I hope someone will post pictures

Tara, Thanks for leading this group.  It was a wonderful day on the River!  It was VERY entertaining with all the crazy people waiting to go tubing!  I loved seeing so many water lovers enjoying the outdoors.

Hey Tara: Thanks for leading and organizing this trip. It was a “trip” with so much entertainment haha! The river was beautiful, water was cool, paddlers fun and the tubing group was unexpected free entertainment but so much fun I have some photos to share later when I get to my laptop. The rope swing was a bonus blast too ! Thanks for a fun day !

That was a beautiful and fun trip you led!  Definitely one of my favorites.  I had fun paddling, tube-watching and rope swinging!  Can't wait to see some pics posted.

Here is a link to some photos I took on Saturday. This section of the Edisto River was beautiful and busy for the last 3 miles of our paddle haha! I have included a few “Float Fhotos” from the Mega Floatzilla on the river as well. We shared the river with a pink Cadillac , Unicorns, Tony the Tiger, and other creative floats. It was an event of epic proportions :-) Thanks for a fun trip to all who paddled !!!!

What an amazing day! The good, the bad and the adventures were all wrapped into one day. I am SO GLAD to have been a part of this memorable trip! Thank you to all of our experienced paddlers as this was a true day of "testing", both of skill and patience. :-) 
Thank you all for making my weekend so entertaining! See you Saturday, at the picnic!
