Kayak camping adventure at Capers Island! - We will launch from Isle of Palms Marina and paddle the inter-coastal waterway and camp for 2 nights on Capers Island. Friday we will paddle 5 nautical miles to Capers and setup camp. Saturday is for hiking exploration, chillin' on the beach, paddling trips, or whatever you like. Sunday we will leisurely pack up and paddle back to Isle of Palms Marina by 5pm.
This is a guided trip for anyone with any kayaking skill level, although participants should be confident in their fitness level to spend up to 3 hours in a kayak, paddling at a moderate pace. This is not the trip for someone who has never been in a kayak before. The group will paddle together, stay together, observe safety practices and will be led by ACA certified coastal kayaking instructor, Bev Cosslett. Each paddler can get a kayak lesson on any topic of their choice, such as, improving forward stroke, edging your kayak, strokes and maneuvers.
Guide Fee: $50/person (3 days, 2 nights, includes launch fee at the ramp)
Optional include up to 2 meals (dinner): $20 each/person
Include kayak, paddle, PFD Rental: $100/person (3 days)

There is overnight parking available at the Marina (fee applies)
