BulowLlanding trip--Saturday, Jan 14-expect some w...
Author Last Post

I am excited about the club's trip on Rantowles Creek from Bulow Landing on Saturday, Jan 14. We meet by 1:45 and launch by 2;00.

It IS going to be very windy. I would call this trip off if it were almost anywhere else in the area; however, Rantowles Creek is very sheltered this far inland. We will have wind, but because the creek is so shelterd and narrow, I do not expect any waves. So...we may have some wind in our faces as we begin, but I expect to be sheltered or have the wind going "pretty much" with us on the return leg.

If you plan to come, please sign up on the club's web page if you can. If that does not work for you, please text or email me that you are coming.

The address noted on the club web page, 1118 Neighborhood Lane, Ravenel will get you on the correct road to the landing.

I attached an article from the Dec 26, 2008 Post and Courier which tells about the developer wanting to put in a privacy gate on Bulow Landing Road. If you are new to the area or to paddling, you should read it. We came close to losing access to this landing. Look at the picture and compare it to what you see now when you turn onto Bulow Landig Road.
