LowCountry Paddlers: Info Session on becoming an A...
Author Last Post

Dear Members:

The LowCountry Paddlers club has new training plans in the works that will enable ALL of our members to pick and choose kayaking training classes at no additional cost to the club member. This is an exciting opportunity!

The club will sponsor a few members to become ACA certified instructors who will teach classes to our members throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Members may want an introduction class or they may want to practice rescue techniques when the water gets warm enough, or some just want to see what they can do to improve their confidence, skills, speed and/or finesse on the water to make the most of our beautiful South Carolina waterways. This helps our paddling community become more SAFE, and safety is a priority for LowCountry Paddlers club.

We are looking for volunteers interested in teaching kayaking. If you like people, like to teach and like to kayak you are a potential candidate to become a certified instructor. I am holding a question and answer meeting on what becoming an instructor entails, on Wednesday, December 7, at 7:00PM. This will be a virtual meeting held on Zoom. If this date/time does not work for you, please reachout to Bev. I'll be at the Christmas Party or available to talk or text when you are. Here is the link to the 12/7 meeting:
