Trip Planning Committee is meeting soon
Author Last Post
I also agree with Beth and Bobbi. I can't make the early trips.

Thanks everyone!! And thanks so much, trip leaders!💜💜🐬🐬🐬

Thanks Martha.

Thanks for asking Christopher!  I don't know the details about trip leader training, but will certainly find out and get back to you.

Martha
How would I volunteer to be a trip leader?

Great ideas!  Does anyone have a suggestion for more trip leaders? We really need more. That is where we have the fewest volunteers.

Chuck and I agree with Beth and Bobbie’s comments completely.  Truly appreciate our trip leaders!  Deb

I second all of what Beth said!  I know tides mostly determine the timing, but I'd love more trips close to town esp if tides dictate early launch.  Thanks all for the planning, coordinating and leading. Much appreciated.

Good point Beth.

Love the weekday paddles but I can’t make those 8 and 9 am paddles since I have to drive through Charleston work traffic to get to most any
launch. Traffic between 7-9 am is a bear! But I so appreciate those willing  to lead trips. Thanks so much !
Bobbie

Please, please plan some trips that meet at 11 am or even later in the day. Some of us work second shift or just aren’t early birds, so getting up early is very hard and results in lower energy levels for paddling. Would like to see more trips in the immediate Charleston area where I don’t have to drive too far, especially in the James Island, Johns Island, West Ashley, Folly Beach and Mt. P areas such as Stono, Folly, Ashley rivers, etc. Would also like to see a paddle out of the new Ashley River Park in Dorchester County. Would love to explore James Island Creek.

I was also out of town a lot and work week days. Would like more level 1 trips if possible.
Thank you.
Ginna

Was out of town or had to be at work.

Your answer to these questions will make a difference in paddles we post.
Your answers will be discussed at the
trip planning meeting. We do listen as one example is the fish hatchery paddle. Don't schedule the same trip 3 times during the spring and fall seasons.
Thanks
Dan

The trip planning committee will be meeting soon. We can use your input. Please do not put off responding. I have two questions for you. You may answer either or both.

1.If you did not go on at least 1 paddle each month for July-October, why didn't you?

  1. Suggest 2 trips you would definitely plan to go on if we scheduled them in March- June.
