Event Reminder - LCP Club Demo Day
Author Last Post
I would love have tried them, but sadly I am still sick and am going to miss demo day.

Michelle Lichtsinn

I don't know if it's ok to post this here regarding demo day, or who all might receive it (I'm hoping this just goes to the whole group.). I know of two 20+ foot long tandem kayaks that are 26" wide that are currently produced. The Current Designs Unity at 21' x 26", and the Seaward Passat at 22' x 26". Before getting my first, I always wished I could try them both out. Well I actually now have both, and thought it might be of interest to some at a demo day. I also have a Current Designs Sisu LV, which is a really fun rough water sea kayak, and a Wenonah Adirondack tandem canoe that I could bring out. I own them, so naturally they are boats that I can imagine being excited to try. But I thought maybe some others might be interested in trying these?

A message from Lowcountry Paddlers:

A gentle reminder about this upcoming event:

LCP Club Demo Day
Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 9:00 AM

James Island County Park
871 Riverland Dr
Charleston, SC 29412

The plan is for members, to bring their kayaks, PFD, and paddles. Lay them out on the shore of the lake and be there to explain the kayak's fine points. Plan to let participants take them out for a paddle. Be there to help set up the correct pedal length. Help them into the kayak. The shore here is a short lawn with a small step down to the water. I ask everyone to hang onto their own paddle and PFD as it could be easy for them to get mixed up in what I hope will be a strong turnout. If you have a kayak you want to sell, bring it out and let some others paddle it. Remember the rule though: no funds can exchange hands at this event.
