Kayak camping adventure to Capers Island - We will launch from Isle of Palms Marina and paddle the inter-coastal waterway and camp for 2 nights on Capers Island. On Friday, 9am, if conditions allow, we will paddle to the north end of Capers Island, which is approximately 10 miles, with the option of stopping on the southend of Capers, which is a 5-6 mile trip. Saturday is for hiking exploration, chillin' on the beach, paddling trips, or whatever you like. Sunday we will pack up and paddle back to Isle of Palms Marina targeting arrival no later than 5pm.
This is a guided trip along the creeks and Inter Coastal Waterway, avoiding ocean surf. This is not a trip for someone who has never been in a kayak before. There could be strong winds and bumpy water along the route. The group will paddle together, stay together, observe safety practices and will be led by ACA certified coastal kayaking instructor, Bev Cosslett.
Guide Fee: $50/person (3 days, 2 nights)
