We're coming out of the pandemic and the club is working on criteria of when we'll start doing club trips.
I need to develop an updated trip leader list.
The club will have a training session/discussion of trip leader guidelines to help all potential leaders get back up to speed after not having club trips for such a long time.
I'm requesting that individuals who will volunteer to be trip leaders contact me directly at kayakcharleston@comcast.net. I want to start a new list.
If you have been to trip leader on the water training, please volunteer.
If you have had a few years of experience with the club, please volunteer.
You can tell me you only want to lead on L1 or L2 trips.
My last resort will be to contact several of you directly, asking you to agree to be a trip leader. I'd rather not have to ask several people since I'm hoping you will contact me and volunteer. We ARE going to have training and you DO NOT have to had formal trip leader or rescue training.
Trip leaders are those who make our club go. If you have not lead a trip before, now is the time to volunteer. I can always set you up initially as an assistant trip leader so you can work with an experienced one on a few trips.
