About this event
Due to ACA insurance requirements all participants must stay with the group. Please contact the trip leader prior to signing up if you have any concerns so they can evaluate possible accommodations.
Non club members and member guests must contact the trip leader before the trip. Boat type, size, and paddling skills should be discussed with the trip leader.
THIS LAUNCH SITE WILL NOT BE ON YOUR GPS. We are launching from Station 19 kayak Launch. Cross the Ben Sawyer Bridge and turn right on Middle Street. Go .4 mile to Station 19 and turn right. The launch is at the end of Station 19. Note: the launch is on the intracoastal side of Sullivans Island, not the ocean side. It is at the end of Station 19. Please do not be confused with a private landing on Station 9. or the one at Station 26.
Rating: L2, some open water
Where: Be ready to launch by 9:30.
Logistics: High tide at the Shem Creek bridge is about 11:00. We’ll paddle with the incoming tide past Mt Pleasant and head up Shem Creek to the Shem Creek boat ramp. We’ll take a short break there and paddle with the outgoing tide back.

Note: This paddle had initially been planned for Pitt Street Bridge. LCP has changed it to Sullivans Island, Station 19.
