April 12 (Saturday): Edisto River: Good Hope Landing to Martins Landing. About 14 miles Rating: L2+ Where: Meet at Food Lion in Ravenel by 9:15. (Put Food Lion Ravenel. Or 6323 Savannah Hwy, Ravenel in your mapping app). Heading south on Hwy 17, the parking lot is on the left, just past the only light in Ravenel. Logistics: We’ll juggle boats at the Food Lion so we can leave vehicles at Martins Landing and then proceed up to Good Hope Landing. We’ll launch when ready from Good Hope Landing. Plan for at least 2 breaks…Sullivans Ferry Landing at the 5 mile point and Lowndes Landing at the 11 mile point. We’ll have the river current helping us the entire trip. Expect to be at takeout point by 4:00 Trip Leader: Ralph Earhart Note 1: Request paddlers bring vehicles and trailers that can carry another boat other than what they bring. Note 2: This is a long, but easy trip with nice opportunities to take breaks.
