July 20 (Saturday): Ashepoo River: From HWY 17 to HWY 303 loop Trip About 12 miles. Non club members and member guests must contact the trip leader before the trip. Boat type, size, and paddling skills should be discussed with the trip leader. Meet at Joe’s Fish Camp Launch (immediately on the left after crossing over the Ashepoo River on HWY 17. Put Joe's Fish Camp in your mapping app.) Be ready to launch by 10:30. Rating: L2 Logistics: High tide is noon at Joe's Fish Camp. Incoming tide will take us upriver and we’ll catch the outgoing tide on the way back to help us complete the trip. We’ll get out in a vacant grassy area for lunch before returning… and if not vacant, we’ll get out about a mile down the river. Plan to be back at the landing by 3:30 We’ll stop on the river by Bonnie Doone on the way back for a deep water swim if we are getting hot.
