Cuckolds Creek Landing was in the very first edition.  It is a wonderful landing.

I used to paddle 9 miles down to Steel Bridge Landing and then back when I started paddling.. now 18 miles is a REALLY long paddle.. that is why we’re only going to the little island with.. hopefully a sandbar.. on the Combahee for our place to turn around.

that worked!! thanks so much

will try those suggestions- I have your book but couldn't find the landing- probably an older edition- I have had it for over 10 years
thanks

Karen,
Recommend you try google maps.  I do not trust Apple Maps.
IF you have my guidebook, there is a written description of how to get there.   Depending on the edition you have. there is a latitude and longitude you can put into your mapping app.
If you can do neither.. please call me today and I’ll give you directions.

They are really easy except for the last 600 yards.  I need to talk you through them.

Ralph, my mapping apps won't recognize that description- is there an exact address instead?

Looking forward to the Cuckolds Creek/Combahee River L3 paddle thus weekend.

The tide will be going with us each way, but it is an L3 due to the 14 mile distance.

Do NOT put Cuckolds Creek Landings into your mapping app...but instead..use the address from the web page:

Put Cuckolds (Folly Creek) Boat Landing in your mapping app

It is a bit of a drive out there, so please give yourself enough time to get there in time to LAUCH by 9:30. A 14 mile "easy" paddle makes up for the longer drive.

This is a beautiful part of the ACE Basin. I DO plan to go through a rice field canal I call "Ken's Canal"..after our past president Ken McDowell...who pointed it out on one of our trips in the area. That may shorten the trip by a "tad". Several LCP members have been through this canal.
