The Lowcountry Paddlers picnic is just a few weeks away! If you haven’t signed up yet, now’s the time. It’s going to be a great time—you won’t want to miss it! Here's the button below to register for the picnic:
Events
Date/Location: Sunday, June 8, at James Island Country Park, Stono Shelter has been reserved for us
10:00 AM: Launch for a Level 1 easy paddle trip at the Fishing Pier (James Island County Park) to paddle the marsh creek
Noon: E A T !!! Club provides the meat/veggie option, everyone brings sides, dessert, and drinks
After Lunch: There’s a volleyball court available, but since I’m not really into volleyball, I’m bringing badminton rackets instead! It’s easy to pick up—and way more fun, in my opinion.
Friendly reminder: Our club is on a mission to kick single-use plastics to the curb! So, please bring your own reusable plates and utensils to the picnic. (Don’t worry—we’ve got a stash of old plastic stuff for anyone who forgets. But let’s save those for emergencies!)
I need a few volunteers to help out:
- Someone to buy hot dogs and hamburgers, and buns
- Someone to buy Portabella mushrooms (veggie option!)
- Someone to be at the picnic table shelter a bit before noon to help set up
Our social Director, Nancy, is out of the country, so please send Bev a message if you can help out! 914-299-0919.
Thanks!
