Look  forward to it !!!!

Thinking about this email I sent the other day, my gmail divides emails into personal and commercial. The email went into my commercial file rather than the personal file. If you did not see something from me with the final info on the oyster roast tomorrow night, check your commercial file.

Meanwhile we're looking forward to tomorrow evening. Pretty much ready. Jimmy will be ready by 6 to have the first oysters on the burner and the fire pits are waiting for me to light the fires. Come on over and be prepped for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Sounds good. Thanks

Hello Fellow Paddlers,

-First off, I want to thank everyone who signed up on line for the oyster roast this Saturday evening.  If you have been thinking of coming and hadn’t yet committed, that’s fine. I can pretty much guaranty you’ll have a good time of it if you do make it out. The plan is pretty much as it’s always been. You bring chairs, your choice of beverage and a side of some kind to share. We’ll have steamed oysters, hot dogs off the grill, water and a soda of some kind, a couple of fire pits blazing and a good space to relax in. Cross your fingers on the weather. The oysters are served in the garage and we have the fireplace inside if needed.

-Sadly, there is a cost to help cover the oysters. $20.00 for oyster eaters, $10.00 for non-oysters and free for vegetarians. Please bring cash. If you have a check, make it out to me. I’ll be floating around somewhere. Thanks

-This year we won’t have an official chili cook-off. Julie does plan to cook up a pot though and if anyone else is up for it we’d love to sample your pot. There will be a table out with power for hot-pots. I will have the mixings to doctor up any chili bowls.

-Our address is 329 Molasses Ln, Mt Pleasant. We’re located near the bottom end of Mathis Ferry Rd. Coming from down the peninsula it’s best to cross the Ravenel Bridge. There is lots of street parking. Just pull off the road into the shallow gully.

-Hours are 6-9 pm this Saturday evening.

See you Saturday and thanks for coming

Hello Again,
I forgot to ask. Please RSVP to the Oyster Roast if you have not yet. You can send it to me directly at dmhoke@gmail.com to not take folks time on the list serve.
Thanks Much
Dan

Thank you Dan and Julie.  I just signed up on the club website.

Me again,

Just a reminder to double check that you marked your calendar.for the clubs Oyster Roast coming up on Feb 15.

It'll be held at our house in Mt Pleasant as in the last few years. For the new members in the club, we hold three big events during the season. The Summer picnic, the Christmas party and the Oyster Roast. It's held in our spacious back yard with plenty of lighting and a couple fire pits blazing. Like the other events everyone participate by bringing a side or desert to share and I'll have (Hebrew National) dogs off the grill. We're also asking for you to bring a pot of your famous chili for a cook-off with a gift certificate from Time out to the winner. Bring your chairs to sit around the fire pits to chat with your neighbors. It's BYOB and there is a charge of 20.00 for oyster eaters and 10.00 for those who don't. I've held this price as the cost of oysters has skyrocketed in the last few years, so the more of you that attend the better. Plus it's a really good way to spend an evening. Our address will come out in the next email.

PS: This year I moved the date forward to not conflict with the Sierra Clubs roast two weeks later.

Please Come

Dan and Julie
