LowCountry Paddler Club Officer Election

We are accepting nominations for Lowcountry Paddler Club officer positions. If you are interested in taking on an officer position for 2025, please reply to this thread. We will entertain self-nominations through January 17. Self-nominations need to provide your name and why you want to take on the position. If there is more than one candidate nominated for any position, we will have a club-wide vote via email. If there is no contest, I will publish the new officer names before January 20.


Below is a description of each elected position.


President (currently Bev Cosslett) conducts Club meetings, manages the voting process and appointing committees, and represents the Club to the media and other organizations.


Vice President (currently Michelle Lichtsinn) coordinates occasional social gatherings and conducts meetings in the President’s absence


Treasurer (currently Don Dibble) collects membership dues and any other funds required; maintains the Club checking account, and issues authorized and approved payments for Club debts.


Secretary (currently Nancy Nicodemis) shall keep a written record of all Club meetings, shall make Minutes and records available to the Board and members, and maintain a file of Club documents.


Membership Manager (currently Beth Heywood) shall enroll new members and process renewals, update the membership information on the Club website, and manage our relationship with the American Canoe Association, including filing trip reports and assuring each active member has a current executed ACA Annual Waiver.
