Need at trip Leader for August 24 Wambaw Creek pad...
Author Last Post

Club members,

We had two folks volunteer to become trip leaders. I'd like to suggest that others of you who have not lead trips before for the club learn the duties of the trip leader.

IT IS VERY EASY. I'd recommend starting with an L1 or L2 trip.

There are 2 steps.

  1. Read the Trip Leader guidelines on the club's web page. it is under the "members paddling" tab..just click on Trip Leader responsibilities at teh bottom of teh page ( or the QR code if you prefer)
  2. Tell a trip leader on one of the trips you do to give you a rundown of everything the leader does and watch it happen on the trip.

Once you have done that, please contact me directly and I'll add you to the trip leader email distribution list that I maintain.

We have soem great trip leaders who do a lot of work now, but we need to be developing more all the time.

Thanks,

Ralph,

I am willing to give trip leader a try.  Talk to the next time we paddle together.

The trip schedule is out for the rest of the year. Please take a look at it and go ahead and pencil in some of them on your calendar.

We do need a trip leader for the August 24 Wmbaw Creek paddle. If you are not a trip leader now, you can become one by teaming up with the leader at the next paddle and find out the duties. There are also trip leader guidelines on the club's web page. Wambaw Creek is a short, easy, fun paddle and is a great one to be the first trip you lead. We need more trip leaders, so please considered this and get back directly to me at kayakcharleston@comcast.net and tell me you'll do it.

Thanks!
