This Saturday is our club paddle on Wambaw Creek. It’s a beautiful paddle along a wild marsh creek surrounded by some massive cypress trees, all protected by the Francis Marion Nat’l Forest land. For people not aware of the location we’ll meet at the BP in McClellanville, leaving at 9:30 am to drive to the landing.
The air temp is looking to be 74 degrees with some scattered showers, mostly in the afternoon. Warm air and protected surrounds should be enough to counter any shower that might come our way. Just bring a shell or poncho to deflect any chill if your prone to it. Your pfd will likely to be enough.
There is a great little local restaurant to stop at on 17 after the paddle for some lunch so bring a change of clothes.
See you in McClellanville.
