I am going. Begin the day hydrated, bring lots of water, and plan to spend much time in the river.

I'll be there if everyone is still OK to go.  Please let me know before 8 AM.  Thanks.

Is anyone going?

Hi all-heat index is supposed to be over 105 tomorrow-is it safe to paddle?
Plan to paddle from Mars Oldfield landing to Messervy Landing, Thursday Jun 21.  Meet at Givhans Ferry State Park entrance at 9:30 am.   Paddle is 8.3 miles and about 3 hours with stop at Givhans Ferry State Park.  Directions:  Go out HWY 61 and stay on until you see sign for Givhans Ferry State Park.   This is an advance paddle for Lowcountry Paddlers trip on July 14 with option to go into 4 Hole Swamp.  This is an L2  paddle only because of the time in kayak.  The current helps all the way.   This is Ralph Earhart's favorite part of the Edisto River.  If you wish to meet at Mars Oldfield landing the address is 1117 Mars Old Field Ln, Cottageville, SC.  For more information or more directions contact Michael Condon, or phone 843-800-5114.
