Penny Creek and the Edisto sandbars on Tuesday 5 J...
Author Last Post
Edisto River is too high because of all the rain to  have a low tide scouting trip be effective. I'm not going to do this trip, but will instead do Horseshoe Creek going upstream on Tuesday.

I am launching from Price Bridge Landing (GPS: 3221 Price Bridge Lndg Walterboro, SC) at 9 AM and going as far upstream as I can.  This is a relatively shady trip and would be classified as an L1. The tide is too low to have any impact on the paddle.  I expect to be back at the landing before noon.

Sorry for any confusion but I expect the sandbars on the Edisto will be at least 2 feet under water at low tide and the various "snags' on Penny Creek will be covered.

I am checking out a low tide paddle on Penny Creek on Tuesday 5 June.   I'm paddling down in the final hour of the outgoing tide, will check 2 sets of sandbars close to where Penny Creek intersects the Edisto, and returning with the incoming tide.  This would be classified as an L1 trip.

Meet at the Penny Creek boat landing (GPS:   .3 miles past 9114 Penny Creek Landing Rd Adams Run) and be ready to launch by 9:15. Should be back "well before" 1 PM.
